Sir Henry Rider Haggard was an English writer of adventure novels set mostly in Africa, and a founder of the Lost World literary genre. Child of Storm is a sequel to Haggard's novel Marie, where Allan Ouatermain helps his Zulu friend Saduko in a crazy battle to win one hundred heads of cattle for the dowry of his love Mameena.
